Wellington Fish & Game Access Pamphlets

The Wellington Fish & Game Council publishes brochures with detailed colour maps showing access points to the fishing waters plus fishing information. Some are available online and as printed pamphlets.

In addition, there is a riverline service that advises whether a river is clear or dirty and able to be fished or not - phone 08322 5000. Calls cost 12 cents per minute.

If you would like a printed copy of any of the pamphlets, either:

• Send a stamped, self-addressed envelope (NZ postage $0.45 on a standard envelope or $0.90 on an A5 envelope) to one of the Wellington Fish & Game office. Open and edit a standard request letter.
• Call into the local Fish & Game office
• Drop into one of the local fishing shops - many have copies available.
• Call into the office at the Tongariro River Motel in Turangi - full sets of pamphlets are available.
