Glenrock
Station is nestled in the head waters of the Rakaia River in the
Canterbury high country where there is both trout and salmon fishing.
Glenrock Lodge provides accommodation in two warm comfortable houses
and is a great place for family and group functions.
Not only is the world renowned Rakaia River
at your doorstep, but you'll also marvel at the amazing views up
and down the river and of the Southern Alps.

Driving distances are:
- 1 1/2 hours drive west of Christchurch airport
- 40 minutes from Methven and the Mt Hutt skifield

Glenrock Station has two
very warm and comfortable houses which can be rented together or
separately.
The Lodge
The Lodge, also known as the Cookshop, has
6 bedrooms, sleeps 19 people, and provides:
- A log burner and an open living/kitchen area
with a fully self-contained kitchen including dishwasher and microwave
- Full Sky TV, DVD and video
- Room 1 has 1 double bed and 1 single bed
- Room 2 has 1 queen bed and 1 single bed
- Room 3 has 2 bunks
- Room 4 has 1 double bunk bed
- Room 5 has 1 double bunk bed
- Room 6 has 1 bunk and 1 single bed and is
done up as a children's playroom (plus a TV and video)
- Three bathrooms
- Outdoor area with outdoor furniture, barbecue
area, sandpit, hammock
The Cottage
The Cottage has 4 bedrooms, sleeps 10 people,
and provides:
- An open fire and log burner
- Fully self-contained kitchen with dishwasher
and microwave
- Room 1 has 1 double bed
- Room 2 has 2 single beds
- Room 3 has 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed
- Room 4 has one 3/4 size bed
- Outdoor area with outdoor furniture, barbecue
area, sandpit, hammock
Additional
- All rooms have space for cots if required.
Cots available on request.
- Smoking is only permitted outdoors.
- Pets permitted but must have a hydatids
certificate.

Special Deals
Special deals are available for stays of at
least 2 nights outside of school holidays.
- 10% discount for groups of 20 or more for
minimum 2 night stays except during school holidays.
- Stay for 2 or more nights between Monday
through Thursday (except school holidays) and only pay:
- NZ$85 for the first 2 people per house per night
- NZ$20 per extra person per night
- No charge for children under 2

Traveling South
From Christchurch:
- Head to Yaldhurst Road, then continue on
up Highway 73 until you reach Aylesbury Corner.
- Turn left and follow the signs to Hororata,
Mt Hutt and the Rakaia Gorge.
- Turn left at the Hororata roundabout and
continue up this road until you see a stop sign.
- Turn left and head to the Rakaia Gorge and
Mt Hutt. Go down through the gorge and up the other side.
- Take the first right turn onto Blackford
Road. You will see a yellow AA sign with "Glenrock"
written on it
- Drive for 34 kms until you reach Glenrock
Station. Note that after 10 km the road becomes a shingle road,
and Blackford Road becomes Double Hill Runs Road.
- Drive into the second property which has
a Glenrock Lodge Holiday Home sign on the gate.
Traveling North
If you are driving up from the lower South
Island:
- Turn left at Ashburton. Stay on SH1 until
you get to Ashburton.
- Turn left onto SH77 to Methven and the Mt
Hutt skifield.
- From Methven carry on and follow highway
SH77 until you get to a T section.
- Turn right onto highway SH72 and head to
Rakaia Gorge.
- About 1 km down the hill, take a left onto
Blackford Road. There is a yellow AA sign at the turnoff with
"Glenrock" written on it.
- Drive for 34 kms until you reach Glenrock
Station. Note that after 10 km the road becomes a shingle road,
and Blackford Road becomes Double Hill Runs Road.
- Drive into the second property which has
a Glenrock Lodge Holiday Home sign on the gate.
