Stronechrubie High Country Cuisine and Chalets is nestled a small township between the Rakaia River and the Rangitata River. Fishing tours can be arranged.

The eight chalets situated on 3 acres of landscaped grounds offer a private and peaceful stay. Dining at the fully-licensed restaurant run by an award-winning Chef de Cuisine is recommended.

Chalets
  • The eight chalets are all self-contained with a kitchenette.
  • Each chalet has a deck with views of Mt Somers and the surrounding mountains.
  • Breakfast is available and is provided on a tray in your chalet.
  • A Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package option offers you a choice of three courses from the current dinner menu as well as breakfast.
  • Well-behaved friendly dogs are welcome with approval from either Madeline or Sean
Restaurant
  • Fully licensed 24-seater restaurant with outside seating for those wanting to dine al fresco.
  • The restaurant is run by your host Sean, an award-winning Chef de Cuisine .
  • All dishes, including desserts, are prepared in the Stronechrubie kitchen, ensuring freshness and the highest class of presentation.
  • Special dietary requirements can be catered for with 48 hours notice.
  • Group accommodation and catering packages for social and business groups
  • Packages can be tailored to suit your occasion and requirements.
  • Recipient of the New Zealand Beef and Lamb Hallmark of Excellence 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007.
