Trout Hotel

Visit the historic Trout Hotel on the banks of the Wakamarina River where there is excellent trout fishing, in the Wakamarina and the nearby Pelorus and Rai Rivers.

The hotel offers a small convenience store and meals with a well maintained area for campervans, caravans and tents behind the hotel. An extra shady area along the riverbank is also available for tents.

Location	The Trout Hotel is marked on the Wakamarina River map and the Lower Pelorus/Rai River map. It is situated in Canvastown 51 km North West of Blenheim on State Highway between Blenheim and Nelson or (40 minutes by car either way to Nelson or Blenheim).
