Iwi Lakes maps.
They are located a 20 minutes drive north of
Dargaville on the main road to the Kai Iwi Lakes and only a short
distance from the lakes. The nearest centre for supplies is
Dargaville. |

- Walk to Ripiro Beach, the longest beach in
New Zealand
- Maunganui Bluff (approx 5hrs one way –
pick up available for Kai Iwi Lakes Country Cottages guests)
- Trounson National Park where you can do a
guided night walk and hopefully see some kiwis in the wild
- Hokianga Harbour is a day trip and where
you can fish off the jetty or take the ferry over to the dunes
for some sand boarding
- Waipoua Forest with Tane Mahuta, the largest
Kauri tree
- The wild West Coast with its wonderful pounding
surf and long deserted beaches

are 20 minutes drive north of Dargaville. Follow the signs off SH12.
Kai Iwi Country Cottages are located on the main
road to the lakes (Kai Iwi Lakes Rd) on the left, only a short distance
from the lakes.
