Location Wanaka Stonehouse is marked on the Lake Wanaka map and the Upper Clutha map. It is an hour from Queenstown to Wanaka.
Setting The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with sun and shade for private contemplation. Conveniently close to town and the lake, the Lodge is nestled at the end of a smart residential cul-de-sac, a stone’s throw from the lovely Wanaka Station Park.

Matukituki Room

  • Single occupancy: NZ $370
  • Double occupancy: NZ$395

  • Quadruple occupancy (for 2 additional children 15 & under): NZ$495

Cardrona Queen Room

  • Single occupancy: NZ $320
  • Double occupancy: NZ$345

Makarora Full Room

Wanaka Stonehouse offer various packages including lodge accommodation and guided fishing.

The following rates are based on double occupancy and two anglers; subtract $75 per night for a single.

All rates include GST.

Matukituki or Clutha King Room

  • Room and half day guided fishing for two: $800
  • Room and full day guided fishing for two: $950
  • Additional full days of guided fishing for two add $895 per day

Cardrona Queen Room

  • Room and half day guided fishing for two: $750
  • Room and full day guided fishing for two: $900
  • Additional full days of guided fishing for two: add $845 per day

Makarora Full Room

  • Room and half day guided fishing for two: $720
  • Room and full day guided fishing for two: $870
  • Additional full days of guided fishing for two: add $815 per day

Cancellation policy

As a small and exclusive lodge, cancellations can affect Wanaka Stonehouse significantly. When you book with Wanaka Stonehouse you are agreeing to the following cancellation policy:

  • Bookings can be confirmed with credit card details at time of booking
  • Cancellations made 30 – 7 day prior to arrival will incur a charge of 25% of cost of entire booking
  • Cancellations within 7 days will incur a charge of 100% of cost of entire booking
  • We will of course try to resell the booking and if able to do this we will refund all charges
  • We recommend travelers have adequate travel insurance to protect against unavoidable changes to travel arrangements
Directions

If coming from the West Coast/North

Come into Wanaka on highway 84. Follow this road (Ardmore St) along the Lake front and turn right into Sargood Drive. We are approximately 300 metres along on your left - 21 Sargood Drive.

If coming over the Crown Range

Come into Wanaka on highway 89 (McDougal St). Turn left when you reach the lakefront (Mt Aspiring Rd). Take the third right into Sargood Drive. We are approximately 300 metres along on your left - 21 Sargood Drive.
