Kowhai Place is a high quality bed and breakfast located in Gore (known as the Brown Trout Capital of New Zealand) on the banks of the Mataura River.

Despite being only minutes from the centre of town, Kowhai Place has sweeping views of fields and farmland, the Hokonui hills and the river (where you can even watch the fish rising from your accommodation).

Location	Kowhai Place is marked on the lower Mataura River maps. It is located within the town of Gore near the junction between State Highway 1 and State Highway 94.
