Mossburn Country Park

 

Enjoy a warm welcome and a real country stay at Mossburn Country Park, a peaceful rural holiday park of 30 acres set against a mountain backdrop. Farm animals on site gives a farm-stay aspect to this friendly uncrowded camp.

With multiple rivers close by, including the Oreti River just 2km away, it's a great base for fishing as well as for tramping, hunting and for exploring the many local scenic attractions.

Location

Mossburn Country Park is marked on the upper Oreti River map.

It is situated between Queenstown and Te Anau, 3km north of Mossburn township on SH97.

Features
  • Fishing maps and Fish & Game pamphlets are available free at the camp office
  • Fishing books are available for reference
  • Fishing licences are available at Bracken Hall, 3kms away.
  • A fishing shop is just 25 minutes away
  • An experienced local fishing guide can be arranged if required
  • Pets are welcome, but by arrangement only. Dogs must be on a lead at all times and be cleaned up after. A dok kennel is available.
  • Helpful hosts will happily help you with bookings for local tours
  • Animal park with alpaca, sheep, cows, pigs, goat, peacocks and hens for you to enjoy. Many of them are very friendly.
  • Lots of space so you can choose your own campsite
  • Awaken to the sound of birds, relax and enjoy a real country stay

Linen hire

$3 for a sleeping bag per stay

Bookings Please phone or email to make a booking. A deposit of one nights stay (or 20% for stays over five days) is required to secure your booking.
Cancellations No refund is given if your booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the planned arrival date. If more than 48 hours notice is given, a cancellation fee of 20% of the booking applies.
