Time-Out Cottages

 

Time-Out Cottages are two self-contained cottages nestled behind native bush, at Lake Manapouri and the gateway to the world famous Fiordland Heritage Park.

Go fishing by yourself or the Waiau River or as part of a charter on the beautiful Lake Manapouri.  A short 20-minute drive will take you to Lake Te Anau and the township of Te Anau.

Time-Out Cottages is marked on the Waiau River/Lake Manapouri map.

Facilities

Each self-contained cottage is set up as follows.

  • Own deck to relax in and to listen to the birds singing in the native bush close by
  • Wheelchair-friendly with large ramps and wide doors.
  • The bedroom has a queen-size bed and a single bed, plus touch lamps and alarm clocks in the bedroom.
  • The bathroom has a wet floor system with shower, and a gas hot water system ensures you won't trun out in the middle of your shower.
  • The toilet has a high seat attachment if needed and there's also a shower seat with handles for safety.
  • The washing machine is conveniently located in the bathroom
  • The kitchen area is fully equipped with a microwave, fridge and two-plate gas hob. There's also filtered water
  • TV, DVD player with a large selection of DVDs to choose from, and a stereo which plays both CDs and tapes.
  • Porta-cot and a highchair available
Local attractions and activities
  • Famous walking tracks close by, including the Kepler and the Milford as well as smaller walking tracks
  • Try kayaking
  • Hire row boats
  • Take a cruise over to the Manapouri power station
  • Cruise to Doubtful Sound
  • Go swimming or play tennis
  • Relax on the beaches of beautiful Lake Manapouri

The tariff for one of the cottages is $125 per night for two people.
