Berlins Cafe & Lodging

Berlins boasts a beautiful licensed cafe and lodgings on the banks of the mighty Buller River overlooking the world famous Buller Gorge.

Berlins provides a home away from home where you'll wake up to the sound of native birdsong. The clean, comfortable accommodation is ideal for anglers fishing the lower Buller and the Inangahua Rivers, and Berlins can transport you up or down stream by jetski.

Location

Berlins is is marked on the lower Buller River map.

It is located 10km from Inangahua Junction on State Highway 6 heading towards Westport and is just 25 minutes from Westport.

Opening hours

The cafe and bar are open 7 days a week from 9.30am.

Summer hours:

Sun–Wed: 9.30am–6pm
Thurs–Sat: 9.30am–late

Winter hours:

Sun–Wed: 9.30am – 4pm
Thurs–Sat: 9.30am – late

(Groups by arrangement outside these hours.)

Includes homemade soup, toasted sandwiches, paninis, gourmet burgers, nachos, wedges, fries, and salad.

Breakfast

Choose from cereal and fruit, toast, eggs, and your choice of bacon, sausage, hash brown, tomato, onions, and mushrooms

Dinner

Choose from ham steak with pineapple, chicken cordon bleu, porterhouse steak or hoki fillets

All mains are served with fresh salad and a choice of
seasoned wedges with sour cream, or fries.

Dessert

Delicious apple or apricot shortcake served with cream and/or icecream.

Kids meals

Fish, chicken tenders or hotdog, all served with fries

The lodge accommodation options are:

  • Dormitory: NZ $25 per person
  • Share rooms: NZ $30 per person
  • Double room: NZ $62 for the room

A $2 discount on accommodation applies to BBH Members.
