Turkey hunts, where limits are not always imposed, are sometimes possible. A lot of Eddie's hunting trips are done on 4WD quad motorbikes. a great way to hunt the well tracked foot hills of the Tararua Ranges, and ideal to take the load off your shoulders after an exciting chase. Note that hunting wild fowl in New Zealand requires a licence and is seasonal but Eddie will be happy to arrange everything.
  • Horse-trekking
Ann can take guests trekking by horse around the Atea Valley or high into the Tararua Ranges. Horse trekking for groups can be arranged and sometimes guests bring their own horses.
  • Canoeing trips
Canoeing trips can be arranged through the Manawatu Gorge or local rivers.
  • Walking and tramping

Choose from strolling the large country gardens to tramping the beautiful native bush clad hills and streams of the surrounding Tararua Ranges.

  • Farm activities
Enjoy milking the cow, feeding the chickens and collecting eggs. The fresh country produce can then be cooked for you on a traditional wood stove and served with a real country brew.
