Ruffit Lodge

 

Ruffit Lodge is a three bedroom farm cottage nestled in a private valley on a 180 hectare farm.

It enjoys expansive rural views, and a private pond where you can go kayaking.

Its location, just a 5 minute drive from some of the best fishing on the Manawatu River, makes it an ideal angler's retreat.

Location

Ruffit Lodge is marked on the mid Manawatu River map.

It is 5 minutes drive from Woodville and 30 minutes from Palmerston North.

Facilities
  • Self-contained farm cottage
  • Three-bedrooms sleep up to 10:
    Bedroom 1: Queen bed
    Bedroom 2: Twin beds
    Bedroom 3: Two bunks and two single beds
  • Linen supplied
  • Microwave, electric frypan and firdge

Activities on-site
  • Kayak on the private pond
  • Table tennis and darts in the woolshed
Local attractions
  • Trout fishing (5 minutes)
  • 18 hole golf courses (10-15 minutes)
  • The famous Tui Brewery at Mangatainoka (10 minutes)
  • Tramping in the Ruahine and Tararua ranges (15 minutes)
  • Clay shooting by arrangement
Indicative tariff
as at 1 April 2008

Ruffit Lodge's tariff is:

  • Two people: NZ$80 per night
  • Each extra person: $15
  • Maximum per night: $160

All rates include GST.

Directions

If you are travelling:

  • North from Woodville on SH2, after 3 km turn right into Hopelands Road.
  • South from Napier and Dannevirke towards Woodville on SH2, turn left into Hopelands Road.

Ruffit Lodge is 2.4 km from SH2 on the left.
