South Canterbury Anglers Club

The South Canterbury Anglers Club, formed in 1933, is based in Timaru and remains active to this day. Club membership entitles the member to use the club's two cottages and enter competitions. Local retailers often offer club members discounts on fishing tackle.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at Queen Hotel, Timaru.

Activities

The club has two huts for members to use and events such as opening weekend are a major event.

Fishing waters

Lake Alexandrina is the club's 'home ground' while favourite fishing waters include: Rangitata, Lake Tekapo, Ohau River, Opihi River and other waters around the South Canterbury and Mackenzie district.

Subscriptions

2011 subscriptions are $35 or $25 if paid before November 30.
