Children aged 6-14 years can learn to fly fish and catch a rainbow trout on specified days between July and November at  the Ngongotaha Hatchery in Rotorua.

Children's Fishing Days, Turangi

On specified days between April and November, children are taught to cast a flyrod and catch a trout at  the Children's Fishing Pond in Turangi.
