Graeme Marshall is a well known angling writer and a long-standing member of NZPFGA. Formerly based in the Nelson region Graeme now operates out of South Canterbury but guides throughout the upper South Island.

Graeme specialises in sight fishing. His laid-back, relaxed approach to guiding is his trademark and he believes that above all fly fishing should be fun.

Background

Graeme is the the co-author of a number of highly acclaimed angling books that include Stalking Trout, Images of Silver, Brown Trout Heaven, and Stalking and Catching Trout.

Graeme is a well known exponent of the stalking technique and specialises in sight fishing for large browns and rainbows.

Trips are personally tailored to suit angler preferences and can include a heli-fishing option if desired.

  • South Canterbury
    Graeme is perfectly located to take advantage of the wonderful Opihi and its tributaries from October to April.
  • Mckenzie Country
    The famed rivers and lakes inland of Timaru are within easy reach, offering both brown and rainbow fishing. The high country season begins in November.
  • Nelson and the West Coast
    Trips to Graeme’s old haunts in these regions are offered with pick-ups by arrangement. Some fishing is available year round.
