Fishing waters

Nick specialises in the rivers and streams of the pristine Kahurangi National Park and the Nelson lakes National Park with their remote crystal clear waters and huge fish. His intimate knowledge developed from many years experience in these remote regions and will ensure he can tailor the fishing adventure you want.

Fishing options

Fishing options include:

  • Drive to fishing where waters are easily accessed
  • Day trip fishing into remote backcountry rivers
  • Multi-day trips where you can experience real wilderness fishing staying in tents or backcountry huts.

Each trip is tailored for the individual or small party and as many factors are involved in building a schedule that suits, prospective guest should contact Nick and Anna and explain what they want. Trip make-up can include any combination of drive-to, backcountry and wilderness options.

Hunting

As well as being a fishing guide Nick likes to take clients into the moutains chasing trophy Chamois (rupicapra rupicapra) and the Himalayan Tahr (hermitragus jemlahicus).

He says of these trips that "they are hard and exciting and real" and the success of each trip  is "shaped by the elements, skill, determination and luck".

Nick provides top grade gear, rich local knowledge and a life long hunting history and a determination to help clients accomplish their goals. With access to the best historical hunting grounds and concessions for vast areas of wilderness, there is an excellent opportunity to achieve the success of a trophy in a region of unparalled beauty.
