Strike Adventure® offers the best fishing access in the north of the South Island. Strike Adventure®:

Zane Mirfin has been guiding since 1985 and is one of New Zealand’s best known fly fishing guides. At 44 he is fit and in his prime as a guide. Zane knows the waters of the northern South Island like no other, knows where the big fish swim and how to help you catch them.

Tony Entwistle has been guiding since 1980 and is a pioneer of NZ guided fly fishing. His original business, Nelson Lakes Guiding Services, guide training and development set the scene for the guiding industry that exists today.

• Short Fishing Trips – Dawn or Dusk. Provide your own transport, snacks & drinks. 1-3 anglers.
• Longer Multi-species trip. 5-6 hours. Includes equipment/boat, fish filleting & bagging. Provide your own transport, lunch & drinks. Phone bookings only.
• Premium Full Day Saltwater Day in Tasman Bay or Marlborough Sounds. Book in advance by internet. Full payment options including credit card. Includes all equipment, pick-up & drop-off at accommodation, oceanside lunch & refreshments. Can customise to preferred fishing types & locations. A big day out.
• Lure fishing - Includes transport, streamside lunch and refreshments. Fishing licences extra. Bring your own gear and lures (we can advise).
• Sea run trout
• Lake fishing - Includes vehicle, boat, streamside lunch & refreshments.
• Hunting - Includes everything except game licence where required (equipment, ammunition, provisions etc) Some private land hunts have additional trophy fees but we will advise in advance.

• Hunting - NZ$695 + GST per day. Includes everything except game licence where required (equipment, ammunition, provisions etc).

We are an independent professional guide service. We can operate from any accommodation venue. We know all the best places to stay and can advise anglers on what others anglers have enjoyed, and also where to avoid. We concentrate on the very best angling opportunities and results and believe that accommodation should be based around fishing considerations. We are independent of the lodge scene and offer experienced and objective advice.

We accept cash, eftpos, internet banking to either our New Zealand or Australian accounts, Visa, Mastercard. We do not charge extra for credit card usage.

To confirm your booking we require the following deposits:

• 1 day booking – 100% deposit
• 2 day booking – 50% deposit
• 3 days or more – 1/3 deposit

If for some reason you need to cancel our refund policy is:

• If outside 60 days, full refund minus NZ$300 booking fee
• Inside 60 days – Deposit forfeited unless replacement angler provided. We recommend Travel Insurance
