Uppacreek Guiding

Uppacreek Guiding, based just outside Motueka, has many brown trout filled rivers on the door step.

NZPFGA member Aaron Ford at Uppacreek offers single and multi day fishing and camping trips, including helicopter fly-ins personalised to suit your needs. He can also organise flights, transport, equipments or whatever you need.

Uppacreek Guiding is situated just outside Motueka, a 20 minute drive from beautiful sunny Nelson with the Abel Tasman National Park just over the hill. It is marked on the Motueka River map.

There are so many rivers in the area, the choice becomes almost overwhelming. The different rivers and streams offer different challenges. They include the:

- Motueka

- Wangapeka

- Travers

- Wairau

- Cobb

- Aorere

• Single day fishing trips swight fishing in crystal clear water for large fish, with the option of covering a lot or a little ground on foot during a day's fishing.
• Multi day fishing and camping trips. Note that tramping and fishing requires a good degree of fitness. It can be more demanding - but rewarding.
• Helicopter fly-ins
• A good day may see up to 10 or even more fish landed. Most fish will be in the 3-6 lb range with some up to 8lbs or larger.
• Catch, photograph and release your trout
• A full range of quality gear is available
• When guiding, Aaron does not fish but does carry a rod as a spare

Guided fishing

Rates include transport, lunch, flies and fly fishing gear if required.

Full day: $600NZD (one or two people)

Half day: $380NZD (one or two people)

Campouts: NZ$100 per night each

Fishing licence is additional
