Raft fishing	Raft fishing is Ian's speciality. He runs single and multi day trips on some of the best fly fishing rivers the North Island has to offer. He can provide you or your clients with a one day to five day raft fishing trip on the Tongariro, Mohaka, Ngaruroro or Rangitikei. Fly by helicopter to the upper Mohaka, then spend 2-5 days rafting out and fishing along the way (this is the only way to access this area). Or, in other areas, get to your rafting departure point by road. All equipment, food and transport is provided, so you and/or your clients can just turn up and enjoy the trip. Seasons The Tongariro River season is from 1st December to 31st May, with the best months being December and May, depending on seasonal floods. The season for other rivers is generally 1st October to 30th June.
