Dream Streams Fly Fishing / Roanoke Lodge

Dream Streams Fly Fishing offers experienced guides and wonderful fishing all year round in the unique and breathtaking scenery of the Central North Island.

Take up the challenge to spot, stalk and sight fish to big wild browns and rainbows in crystal clear water.

Dream Streams takes just one or two anglers per guide with the duration of the trip being entirely up to you. Four-wheel drive trips, overnight campouts and helicopter access to remote locations are all available.

Based at Roanoke Lodge on the edge of Lake Taupo, Dream Streams can also offer unequalled hospitality, superb home cooked meals, world famous New Zealand wines, a beautiful garden and great hosts.

Many guests return time and time again to fish and to stay.

Location	Roanoke Lodge is marked on the Tauranga-Taupo River map and the Lake Taupo map and is close to the Waitetoko Stream
Fishing waters	Dream Streams fishes the numerous small spring creeks and large freestone rivers as well as the four lakes in the Central North Island including: Tauranga-Taupo River Tongariro Mohaka River Rangitikei River Hinemaiaia Wanganui
Fishing options	The fishing options include: 4WD trout fishing trips In summer, dry fly sight fishing to browns and rainbows in spectacular surroundings on a selection of large freestone rivers to small spring creeks. In winter, fish the rivers that flow into Lake Taupo for spawning rainbows and browns. Helicopter fishing (November-April) Make a helicopter trip to fish remote mountain headwaters the highlight of your stay. Dream Streams uses Hughes 500 and Jet Ranger machines, flown by very experienced mountain pilots with thousands of hours flying time. Day trips or overnight trips While Dream Streams is based at Roanoke Lodge, a fishing trip usually includes using farm stays, private accommodation, small lodges, bush huts and comfortable wilderness camps while away fishing. Fishing tackle Most anglers bring their own equipment but Dream Streams is very happy to supply quality equipment if required. Flies are supplied but try your own favourites too. Roanoke Lodge	Roanoke Lodge is a spacious sef-contained solid wood lodge with panoramic views of Lake Taupo which: Provides total privacy, with separate guest entrances. Caters for single parties only at a time Comprises one double and two twin bedrooms, a private lounge with an open fire and TV, a private bathroom, separate toilet and laundry facilities. Is tastefully decorated, with comfortable leather couches and chairs Includes a sundeck and barbecue for the warm summer months. Provides guests with a choice of self-catering in their well equipped kitchen or dining upstairs Offers lodge dining which includes pre-dinner drinks and nibbles, a superb three or four course dinner accompanied by an excellent selection of New Zealand wines from the cellar, or your own wine selection. Is happy to supply you with references from past guests.
