Brent Beadle's Trout Fishing Safaris / Lake View Cottage

Brent Beadle is based on the shores of beautiful Lake Brunner. Brent is a long serving local guide who offers a range of fishing options including wilderness river excusions and heli-fishing trips, plus a cottage where you can stay.

Brent can take you fly fishing or trolling from one of his boats, on Lake Brunner or at remote fishing locations such as the headwaters of the Arnold River.

There are five lakes and over 40 rivers within an hours drive of Brent's base in Moana. These include:

Fishing options include:

• Half day, full day, or guiding by the hour fishing local lakes and rivers
• Boat fishing on Lake Brunner on either of Brent's two boats. One boat is set up for fly fishing, the other for trolling.
• Helifishing trips and wilderness river excursions can be arranged
• Various fishing methods in different areas to cater for all interests, including dry fly, nymph, streamers, spinning or trolling
• All levels of fishing ability catered for as well as tuition if needed
• Scenic tour around Lake Brunner for non-fishing companions
• Tackle and equipment supplied if needed

• Sight casting to cruising trout on the lake from Brent's boat Sneakoponum is a very effective way to rip some lips of the wild Brunner browns
• 25 hook-ups on a good day is achievable, sight casting from Sneakuponum and you don't even get your feet wet

Your guide, Brent Beadle:

• Has 15 years guiding in the area and is one of the most experienced local guides
• Is a member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association (NZPFGA)
• Has two boats, the Madeline Ruth and Sneakuponum both of which are surveyed to government requirements
• Is the only licenced boat operator working Lake Brunner
• Holds Department of Conservation (DOC) permits to fish in the area

Lake View Cottage can cater for up to nine guests. It offers:

• Great views of Lake Brunner and the surrounding mountains.
• A main bedroom with a king bed
• A second bedroom with two single beds.
• An internal garage can be converted to sleep five additional guests
• A furnished lounge
• A self-contained kitchen
• A large deck offers privacy and stunning views of the area
• A full laundry and drying room

Guided fishing

• $550 for a full day
• $275 for a half day
• $130 for two hours($60 each extra hour)

Accommodation

• $110 per couple per night, with continental breakfast available
• Extra guests are $15 each
• The cost for use of the garage bedding is assessed on a case by case basis
