Groynes Fishing Lakes and Take a Kid Fishing Day

The four Groynes Fishing Lakes are open all year to licence holders under 17 years and Fish & Game release trout and salmon there at intervals.

The lakes are also the location for a veruy popular annual kids' fishing day (7500 young anglers in 2008). Volunteers show the kids how to catch a salmon and also how to clean it and prepare it for cooking, and how to cook it. Bring all the family and enjoy a free fun kids fishing day.
