"The CDX Elite Jacket has proved perfect
for those wet days on the river. When it's cold and miserable you
need the best equipment to stay dry. The CDX Elite Jacket has exceeded
expectations as a storm sure jacket when I really need it"
Steve Gerard
of FlyShop
New Zealand

"I've personally used CDs fly rods ever
since I've been guiding, that's 8 seasons now. CD rods are strong,
light weight, well made, good-looking and of course cast very well
and will handle the biggest of fish or punch a line with ease into
a Nor Wester.... They produce award winning rods of exceptional
quality and value for money."
Will Kemp
"The XLS has proved very popular with my
clients.....It has plenty of power for stormy days and is a roll
casting beast, great for tight bank."

| The CD success story |
The success
of Composite Developments can be attributed to its passionate and
highly educated workforce who all enjoy the great outdoors of New
Zealand and know first hand what the products need to do and why.
The creative and focused nature of the company also means that new
and exciting products and technologies are constantly being developed.
In 2008 Composite Developments opened its own
large purpose-built factory in China where they manufacture superior
quality rods for both New Zealand and international markets. The
Chinese operation is headed by Xin, CD's former New Zealand factory
manager for five years. |
| CD-Rods technology |
Composite Developments is
committed to its unique manufacturing technique utilising a helical
of unidirectional graphite fibres. This creates a graphite core
to maximise hoop strength, whilst adding minimal weight, and most
of all maintaining blank sensitivity by not dampening the energy
which flows along the blanks primary fibres.
Labelled G-HLX Technology (Graphite-HeLiX),
the process was developed upon Composite Developments inception
in 1981 by founder Marty Johanson and a team of American Composite
technologists.
