Alexandra trout fly

Description The Alexandra trout fly was named after Princess Alexandra of Great Britain by W. G. Turle. It is tied with peacock herle and silver and gold ribbing and a red tail.

Use Best on still waters where it is fished deep and stripped in fast. Usually tied in sizes 8 to 14.
Type Wet fly though can be used as a dry fly as in this picture.
