Black Gnat trout fly

Descrption and use

The Black Gnat trout fly is designed to imitate adult blowflies (though it is a general enough pattern to also imitate other terretrial insects such as a beetle).

Use in the summer months when there are large flies around. If tied on very small hooks (20 - 22) it can also represent very small midges that are commow on many rivers and lakes in summer.
