Black Tadpole trout fly

Description and use The Black Tadpole trout fly represents a tadpole and is effective when fished in still waters and retrieved slowly around weedbeds. It is best fished early to late summer when tadpoles are making up a large part of the trout's diet. Very effective in slow backwaters or on still waters as tadpoles are a favourite food of large brown trout.
