Blue Dun trout fly

Description and use The Blue Dun trout fly is an old English pattern that represents a mayfly. It can be fished either dry or wet though the dry version is the most popular. Fish when the mayflies are hatching in the early part of the season. The wet version is particularly effective when fished subsurface during a mayfly hatch.
