Description The Cricket trout fly as the name suggests represent a cricket that has landed on the water. There are many variations on this fly though when crickets are landing on the water in late summer and early autumn getting the correct size and a general shape is the most important feature.

Use Fish under vegetation or where ever crickets or grasshoppers are dropping onto the water. Don't worry about the finesse of your presentation as these things land heavily and a bit of a splash will atrract any fishes attention (they will be looking out for them as these reprent a very good meal to any large trout). Takes are generally vigorous and sudden.
