These clumsy insects often land on the water and are eagerly sought by waiting trout. Good throughout the day but most effective in the evenings when the beetle seems to be most active. Use	Fish as a dry fly when trout are cruising taking these tasty morsels in huge slashy rises. Don't worry about a fine presentation as a good plop as the fly hits the water can be all that is needed to attract a trouts attention.
