Description

The Green Beetle trout fly imitates Manuka Beetles which trout actively feed on. These beetles appear in summer and are eagerly sought by trout. A most effective fly to have when fishing in backcountry areas during warm summer weather.

Type Dry fly
Use During November and December daylight hours when Manuka Beetles are active. The wind blows them onto the water - sometimes in great numbers.
Represents The native Manuka Beetle.
