Fishing options
  • Fishing trips are planned individually, based on the skills and experience of the angler, the season, prevailing weather, river conditions and insect life.
  • Catch and release is encouraged but conservation mounts of trophy catches can be arranged
  • Lunch, waders and fishing tackle as required are provided
  • A comfortable 4WD is used to access the best fishing water
  • Jet boat or helicopter are available at additional cost.

All prices include 4WD vehicle transport, lunch. fishing tackle as required, and waders. Prices include GST.

Trout fishing

A full days guided fishing for trout and or salmon in the Canterbury High Country.

Includes pick up from your accommodation and transport by four wheel drive to the fishing destination. It's then an easy walk up a river through the beautiful New Zealand bush. All tackle, food, and transport provided.

One angler, one guide: NZ$725

Two anglers, one guide: NZ$750

Salmon fishing

A morning or evening session fishing for king salmon on the Rakaia or Waimakariri rivers.

Access by four wheel drive. Light snack and all transport included. Helicopter or jetboat available at additional cost.

Searun trout

Morning and evening fishing for the large searun brown trout of the East Coast. Rate includes accommodation, transport and meals.

One or two anglers, one guide: Maximum NZ$1000

Campout

Three day, two night camp out, four wheel drive to a remote back country destination, set up camp and then fish nearby rivers and streams. Destinations may be in native New Zealand beech forest, rugged West Coast bush, or on a vast free stone river valley. All tackle, transport, food provided.

One angler, one guide: NZ$2450
Two anglers, one guide: NZ$2650

Tour

A five day tour around the South Island, fishing various rivers and streams as the season and weather dictate. 

Accommodation could be camp out, hotel, motel, luxury lodge, or any mixture as arranged with you.

NZ$3750 plus food and accommodation.
