Capital Trout Centre Children's Fishing Days

The Capital Trout Centre is a small section of water that is heavily stocked with rainbow trout. It is used to teach children (and sometimes adults) about fishing, conservation and to experience the thrill of fishing first hand.

On children's fishing days, kids are taught the basics and then catch their own fish (all children leave with a fish they have caught).

To teach young people about the fundamentals of fly fishing and to let them experience first hand the thrill of catching a fish. All children who attend an open day will have the opportunity to fish for a rainbow trout and all will land a fish. Each child will then leave with a fish to take home.
